Brief Intro of Candidate

I am Farid Ishac and I am running for the Libertarian Party for Governor of Wayne State University. I attended Detroit Catholic Central High School. I went to the University of Michigan to receive my Bachelors Degree in Mechanical Engineering. I then attended WSU to receive my MBA. I worked in the automotive industry for 38 years and have been a property manager for about 20 years. I believe these skills will make a good addition to the board. I think it is time for change in government and non politicians to hold the offices for the people. .

How would you engage and include parents, caregivers, community members and students in decision-making in your district around things like curriculum, budgeting and district policy?

I believe in getting back to STEM focus. I would encourage all of these groups to provide assistance. Provide parents information on importance and get them to participate more in helping spread the message. I would have the community sponsor events (science fairs, robot competitions, etc.) to show the importance of these disciplines. I would encourage partipation by students in community events through social media.

I have been trained to do everything with no money for 38 years 🤣. I would focus reducing cost. I would work with the local community to buy at the best prices. I would work with parents and students to agree on how to reduce cost

I am definitely going to discuss current policies with the parents and students. They are really the people we need to get more involved.
